A 60-year-old presents with pain, stiffness, and swelling of hand joints. Several DIP joints are swollen and tender, with Heberdens nodes in a few fingers. The patient reports stiff joints that worsen with use. What’s more indicative of osteoarthritis instead of RA? Soft and tender joint swelling, morning stiffness lasting for hours, Heberdens nodes, and symmetrical involvement of metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints?
