A lack of emotional intelligence

1. The connection between emotional intelligence and leadership is profound. Conduct some research and find an example of a failed leader (of a company, country, etc). Who was the leader of the company( country)? Can you find evidence of why this leader failed? Can you find evidence of a connection between this failure and a lack of emotional intelligence? What elements of emotional intelligence would have helped this leader?

 

2. Leadership effectiveness describes those who are able to effectively build high performing organizations, cultivate talent, and lead engaged, productive teams. Describe an example of someone you believe to be an effective leader. What do you think helped them move from emergence to effectiveness?
