8 55-year-old male was admitted to the hospital through the emergency department lot ecpected gallstone pancreatitis. After study it was found the patient had acute pancreatitis diplogic evidence of gallstones, and possibly stones in the common bile duct. The paulche taken to surgery for an open cholecystectomy and common duct exploration. It was confirmed the patient had chronic cholecystitis with cholelithiasis and choledocholithias with obstruction of the billary system. The physician stated the acute pancreatitis was a com ence of the bile duct stones, but the main reason for the patient’s admission to the hospital and the need for surgery were the gallstones and the bile duct stones.
