Design, implement and evaluate an innovative and award-winning occupational health, safety and wellness plan for your workplace, in response to the factors outlined in your scenario.
You work for a heavily regulated and unionized airline company headquartered in Canada. As part of a large H.R., Health, Wellness and Disability Management team you support a variety of workers, from ground crews, customer service, baggage handlers, maintenance technicians, in-air flight crews. A majority of baggage handlers are mid-life or older males, some with chronic health issues with musculoskeletal problems and back injuries. Additionally, over the past 2 years, frontline employees (ground crews and customer service staff) have been dealing with an increasingly stressed and aggressive public and incidents of violence, aggression and harassment from customers due to the pandemic situations, which has increased, driving up stress and strain, work refusals and disability claims.
