Anti-Federalist’ Facebook group

Imagine that both you and the internet existed in 1787 and you have joined an ‘Anti-Federalist’ Facebook group. In this fb group, participants post and discuss opinions criticizing the Founders’ proposed Constitution as the states were considering whether or not they should ratify it. 1. View the Grading Rubric. 2. Post a 200 – 250 word response.

3. What are some specific aspects of the Constitution that Anti-Federalists might have disagreed with or felt needed improvement? Be as specific as possible about what you don’t like about the Constitution, and the reasons why (complexity, not democratic enough, too democratic, impractical, etc.). Remember that you are in 1787, and do not have the benefit of seeing how things actually worked out.

Also remember that none of the constitutional amendments we know today have been ratified yet. Your post should be informed by what you read in the book chapter. 4. In 50 – 75 words, respond to a classmate’s post.

Responses should reference something of substance in the classmate’s post. Do not waste words by writing that you liked their post or thought it was well-written. Click the Anti-Federalist Discussion link to the left and then select "Create Thread." Once you have posted your response, you will be able to view your classmates’ posts.
