Approach to the environment

Greens that take a “garden” or “light green” approach to the environment argue that it is part of human nature to cultivate earth but, in doing so, we must be aware of the impact that we have on earth. By contract, a “dark green” or “deep ecologist” approach to the environment typically believes that any amount of cultivation is damaging the earth. What do you think? What role do you believe humans should play with regards to the environment? Why? How would you design a plan to protect the environment or put the earth first?
