The Brussels airport

After the Brussels airport was attacked by suicide bombers in 2016, there were suggestions by some to push screening checkpoints farther away from the airport terminal to the curbside. This would allow for screening of anyone prior to even entering the terminal. Do you agree with this?  Discuss how this would affect airport security, including staffing, infrastructure, etc.  Please cite all sources
