Career development in the field of education is an ongoing process and many schools and institutions ensure continuous learning and enhancement of skills for their staff by planning for the short as well as long terms.

Design TWO (2) professional development plans using Knowles, Holton and Swanson’s (1998) andragogical model as a guide.

The development plans should be aimed at teachers and include teacher’ current abilities, (specific) future goals, resources required and performance appraisals.

The first professional development plan should be for the next one to two years while the second plan should be for a longer term of between three to ten years.
