The preemption of Risks implied from changes in technology

For this assignment, you will develop a presentation that advocates for the preemption of risks implied from changes in technology used by organizations, threat actors, and control capabilities.

Be sure your presentation addresses the following:

  • Create an analysis of viable improvement to solutions, technology use, threats, and vulnerabilities within a significant organization within one of the 16 critical industries.
  • Be sure all content is forward-looking for the 5 years after today’s date. There will be no recognition for content that covers areas that have already matured.
  • Consider the evolution of technology, the response from threat actors, and new defenses.
  • Be sure to use a persuasive presentation, which is suitable for delivery to the strategic planning body within the top leadership of your selected organization.
  • Provide limited text on the slides, using multiple tables and simple figures created for this specific presentation.
  • Provide bullet points with speaker notes and citations below the content slides and add a reference slide(s) at the end that uses 12-point fonts.
  • Narrate the presentation using voice (not video) over PowerPoint or use Kaltura if you wish to use video.

Length: 15-20 slides with speaker notes (200-350 words per slide) , not including title and reference pages

References: Include a minimum of 8 scholarly references. Cite at least 3 different peer-reviewed academic research studies relevant to your approach for this assignment. These specified references should not be in this course and have been published in the last 2 years.

The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. Angular Displacement and Angular Acceleration

Angular Displacement and Angular Acceleration – A Virtual PhET LabObjectives After completing this lab activity, the students should be able to:

  • Calculate angular displacement.
  • Calculate angular acceleration.
  • Write a lab report

Lab ReportThe lab report must include the following:

  • Title
  • Introduction
  • Experimental Details or Theoretical Analysis
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusions and Summary
  • References

Please visit the following website to learn more about lab reports:ACS Format for Laboratory Reports (Links to an external site.)This is a good example of a lab report. (Links to an external site.)Lab ActivityPlease follow the steps given below to conduct the experiment:

  • This lab requires you to produce a lab report to determine Angular Displacement and Angular Acceleration.” This is the“Title” of your lab report.
  • Read the relevant chapter on circular motions and add an “Introduction.”

You conduct this lab by connecting to the PhET website by clicking on the link given below (or where applicable through the embedded simulation on the lab page):PhET Simulation (Links to an external site.)Attribution:PhET Interactive Simulations University of Colorado Boulder https://phet.colorado.edu(If you cannot use the above simulation or cannot get to the website by clicking on the link, please copy and paste the link into your browser.

If the simulation is not running, please check if you have the latest Java, Adobe Flash, or HTML5 software [depending on the simulated lab]. If you download the relevant software and attempt to run the simulation and it is still not working, please call the IT helpdesk. It also could be that your computer does not have sufficient space to run the simulation. Please check all the possibilities).

  • For this experiment, you use the “Rotation”section of the lab. After you click the rotation section of the lab, select the “Show X- Position” and “Show Y-Position” boxes (bottom, middle under Position) and “Show Platform Graph” and “Show Ladybug Graph” under Symbol key (bottom left-hand side corner) and “radians” under Angle Units (bottom left-hand side corner). Also, select the first choice under Show Graphs, which covers “theta, omega, X, and Y.” In addition, check boxes for “Show Velocity Vector,” “
  • Show Acceleration Vector,” and “Ruler” (bottom left-hand side corner). Now add relevant values depending on the scenarios given below. You may keep the sim speed to the minimum. This information constitutes the “Experimental Details” section of the lab report. You must keep a record of relevant data values appearing on the screen as experimental values for each scenario. These values form part of the “Results” section of the lab report. Now, complete the theoretical calculations of angular displacement and angular acceleration values for each scenario using relevant circular motion equations. These calculated values also form the “Results” section of the lab report.
  • Now, you can complete the “Discussion” section of your lab report by comparing the values and discussing any differences in the theoretical and experimental values and any other information relevant to the experiment.
  • Complete the lab report by adding a summary to the “Conclusion” section of your lab report.
  • Submit the lab report to the relevant Canvas Dropbox

Lab Scenarios

  1. A ladybug walks around a circular track that has a diameter of 3 m. If it moves around the entire track for at an angular velocity of 5 rad/s for 12s, what is the angular displacement?  What is angular acceleration?
  2. A ladybug walks around a circular track that has a diameter of 3 m. If it moves around the entire track for at an angular velocity of 6 rad/s for 22s, what is the angular displacement?  What is angular acceleration?
  3. A ladybug walks around a circular track that has a diameter of 3 m. If it moves around the entire track for at an angular velocity of 7 rad/s for 6s, what is the angular displacement?  What is angular acceleration?

NB: This simulation does not give angular acceleration values. You can only compare experimental angular displacement values with theoretical angular displacement values for each scenario.

Social Media in the Workplace Policy
At Pierce Enterprises (“Company”), we understand that social media can be a fun and rewarding way to share your life and opinions with family, friends and co-workers around the world. However, use of social media also presents certain risks and carries with it certain responsibilities. Because we are an organization that expressly prohibits our employees from unionizing, it is critical that you are mindful of your actions on social media, and the impact they could have on the Company. To assist you in making responsible decisions about your use of social media, we have established these guidelines for appropriate use of social media. This policy applies to all Company employees.

Guidelines
In the rapidly expanding world of electronic communication, social media can mean many things. Social media includes all means of communicating or posting information or content of any sort on the Internet, including to your own or someone else’s web log or blog, journal or diary, personal web site, social networking or affinity web site, web bulletin board or a chat room, whether or not associated or affiliated with the Company, as well as any other form of electronic communication.

The same principles and guidelines found in Company policies, and these basic beliefs apply to your activities online. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for what you post online. Before creating online content, consider the risks and rewards that are involved. Employees are strictly prohibited from sharing information regarding your personal salary or working conditions with other employees.

Know and follow the rules
Carefully read these guidelines and all Company policies to ensure your postings comply. Inappropriate postings that may include discriminatory remarks, harassment, and threats of violence or similar inappropriate or unlawful conduct will not be tolerated and may subject you to disciplinary action up to and including discharge. Even if requested, you are not permitted to share a copy of this policy or anything else in this employee handbook with another individual outside of the organization.

Be fair and courteous
Always be fair and courteous to fellow employees, clients and others who work with the Company. Also, keep in mind that you are more likely to resolve work-related complaints by speaking directly with your co-workers, your supervisor, the Human Resources Administrator or any member of management with whom you are comfortable, than by posting complaints to a social media outlet. Nevertheless, if you decide to post complaints or criticism, avoid using statements, photographs, video or audio that reasonably could be viewed as malicious, obscene, threatening or intimidating, that disparage employees, clients, or others who work with the Company, or that might constitute harassment or bullying. Examples of such conduct might include offensive posts meant to intentionally harm someone’s reputation or posts that could contribute to a hostile work environment on the basis of race, sex, disability, religion or any other status protected by law or Company policy.

Posting content on social media
• Upon hire, you are required to share the passwords for your social media accounts with your manager in the event any questionable postings/content needs to be investigated related to a compliant or violation of this policy.
• Maintain the confidentiality of Company trade secrets and private or confidential information. Trade secrets may include information regarding the development of systems, processes, products, know-how and technology. Do not post internal reports, policies, procedures or other internal business-related confidential communications. Do not mention clients, funding sources, business partners, suppliers or related information without prior approval.
• Respect all copyright and other intellectual property laws. For the Company’s protection as well as your own, it is critical that you show proper respect for the laws governing copyright, fair use of copyrighted material owned by others, trademarks and other intellectual property, including the Company’s own copyrights, trademarks and brands.

Using social media at work
Use of social media on Company equipment during working time is permitted, if your use is for legitimate, preapproved Company business. Please discuss the nature of your anticipated business use and the content of your message with your supervisor and the Human Resources Administrator. Please obtain their approval prior to such use.

All requests for references or recommendations, even those that are received through social networking should be handled in accordance with the Company’s standard policy for responding to such requests.

Retaliation is prohibited
The Company prohibits taking negative action against any employee for reporting a possible deviation from this policy or for cooperating in an investigation. Any employee who retaliates against another employee for reporting a possible deviation from this policy or for cooperating in an investigation will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge.

Media contacts
You are never permitted to speak to the media under any circumstances.

If you have questions or need further guidance, please contact the HR Administrator.

Definition of a project

For the purpose of this assignment, a project is defined as any endeavor that had a capital outlay. Pick a project you have recently completed or one you would like to complete in the near future. This could be a project in your home, place of work, or even church or other organization with which you are familiar. Respond to the prompts below.

· Introduce your project with a reflection on the importance of selecting the right projects in which to invest capital. Do we always select those projects that have the highest return on investment (ROI)?

· Describe the relationship between risk and return and how you would measure for both in your project. What other factors play into capital budgeting decisions?

· Explain how you would calculate the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) and its components for your project.

Your essay should be at least two pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. You are required to cite and reference at least your textbook. Use APA format to cite in-text and reference citations.
