Psychology lifespan development

Psychology lifespan development Question. Gio, a middle-school student, is having a hard time at home. His stress at home is negatively affecting his school experience, which has led to him falling asleep during class. It’s also impacted his performance on the soccer team and has his coach concerned about whether or not he should play in the next game. Which element of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems model best describes this relationship between school, the soccer team, and home life and the way these influence Gio?

Read the various online materials below.
Describe how pollution might affect you, and your fellow students. Who or what organizations, corporations, governments, or
individuals might be responsible for introducing toxic materials into the environment? What can you do to affect change in order to improve our environmental conditions? Methodological techniques for studying the social world

In Chapter 3 of your textbook, various methodological techniques for studying the social world are discussed. A key aspect of sociological research is utilizing the power of observation. Applying what you have learned about sociological research: First, discuss the role of observational research as a key methodology for studying society.

Second, utilizing nonparticipant observation, participant observation, ethnography, or ethnography observe and record a detailed account of a social context or virtual social context that you are no stranger to (think local coffee shop, shopping mall, church, or night club, a blog, Twitter feed, or Instagram) from a sociological perspective. Be careful to be objective and ethically neutral. Do not include judgments or opinions of behaviors but rather, as best as possible, systematic observations.

Third, discuss how a common-sense view of that social setting may look different from a sociological one. Does looking through the lens of sociological research methodology transform how that social space may be viewed? Substantiate your views.

Fourth and finally, post a response to another classmate’s posting discussing your thoughts in a respectful and thoughtful manner. What stood out to you about their observations and the behaviors occurring?

Discusses Middle Childhood and Adolescence

Discusses Middle Childhood and Adolescence. During these times, the body goes through a lot of physical, psychological, emotional, and cognitive changes in regard to development and maturity levels. Think of moral behavior, moral reasoning, and the primary developmental task of school-age children during middle childhood and adolescence. Think about developing a sense of identity, independence, and puberty stages as well.

Middle Childhood is an important part of growing up, but Adolescence is a crucial part of growing up because of the many physical and psychological changes during this time (i.e. identity, puberty, social interaction, sexuality, concrete thinking, physical activity, peer pressure, etc.). This is the timeframe in one’s life that can be very rewarding or very difficult for growth development in regard to the various emotions and changes the body must endure. I’ve always thought that adolescence, along with being elderly, was one of the most difficult life stages in growth development. Click on the link below and view the video on theories of development.

Two important theorists, Erik Erikson and Sigmund Freud have played a major role in explaining and understanding how humans develop over time. Critically think and explain if you feel these theorists were accurate or not in regard to how we develop as humans. Include in your response if their theory of development was successful in your opinion. Think about how we still rely on these theories today and how they impact human growth and development overall. Statistical measures used in information security for evaluation

Information Security Project instruction:
Course Description
All students are required to demonstrate the ability to clearly evaluate a particular information security need, identify potential solutions, consider alternatives, and implement the best solution. This project will draw upon portfolio case assignments completed in previous courses to produce a complete solution for the assigned problem. It will be evaluated using the same rubric that was used to assess the individual course portfolio assignments: credit, 1 hr.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course:
• Become a contributor to a data science team
• Deploy a structured lifecycle approach to data analytics problems,
• Demonstrate an understanding of statistical measures used in information security for evaluation

• This course solely focuses on your IS Security Project. In this course, you will submit an organization for approval, and weekly progress reports and you will complete the project by the end of Week 7.

• In this project you will include for example An assessment plan, Risk Management, Operation Security, Physical Security, Project charter, Diagrams, Analyzing the security issue, solutions, your thoughts, and conclusion. (Basically, you are writing an Information security plan for an organization.)

• Also, at the end beside the project paper, I need a power point (4-6 pages) to present the key points/ Narrative / highlight the imported of the project with voice recording.

Explain the purpose of reports and data visualization in health care

Explain the purpose of reports and data visualization in health care and the benefits of generating reports from gathered data. Provide an example of how report data are used in a healthcare setting.

Describe how incomplete clinical documentation, disparate electronic records, and inconsistent policy affects data acquisition and factors that can influence how often data should be collected.  Assess the information needed to perform a workflow study tied to wait times in an emergency department. Include the relevant data that would need to be acquired in order to evaluate wait times.

The relationship between exercise and the risk of coronary heart disease

In a study investigating the relationship between exercise and the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) among women, a cohort of healthy women (assuming no CHD at the beginning of the study) aged 35-60 were surveyed to ascertain the frequency of weekly exercise. The women were followed for 10 years. Investigators observed a total of 134 incident cases of CHD, 80 among women that reported exercising once per week, 21 among women that reported exercising twice per week, and the remainder in the group that reported no regular exercise over the study period. Person-years of observations for the exposure groups were as follows:  87,082 p-yrs for twice per week, 198,003 p-yrs for once per week, and 65,329 p-yrs for no exercise.

a. Set up the 2 x 3 table for analysis of this data.

b. Calculate the most appropriate measure of disease frequency for the exposure group

Treatment of latent tuberculosis infection

You are a medical assistant at a local hospital. You have been asked to give a presentation on the diagnosis and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection. The presentation will be open to the public so instead of presenting a real patient case, you decide to create a fictional sample case.

make a single case and list the characteristics of the person you will be testing and treating. Describe basic information about the patient including age, sex, lifestyle, and pertinent medical history.

Take the audience through the typical diagnosis and treatment of TB. Describe the person and their experience including their feelings and concerns at this time. Hospital personnel should leave the presentation to understand the physical and psychological consequences for the patient.

Without treatment, what is your patient’s lifetime risk for TB reactivation?

Your case patient has reported or has been diagnosed with another risk factor of developing active TB infection (e.g. – diabetes, HIV, organ transplant). How much does this factor increase their risk? Does it change the recommended treatment for this patient?

The electromagnetic quantum vacuum

Here’s astrophysicist Bernard Haisch: “The electromagnetic quantum vacuum is a form of light. It is an underlying sea of energy that permeates every tiny volume of space, from the emptiest intergalactic void to the depths of the Earth, the Sun, and our own bodies. Our world of matter is like the visible foam atop a very deep ocean of light.” Discuss the significance of this description for human physiology and identity.

The production of thyroid hormone

Hypothyroidism, a disease characterized by a decrease in the production of thyroid hormone, is hypothesized to increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD).  In a follow-up study of 1,000 men aged 55 years and older, the investigators are interested in the potential impact of subclinical hypothyroidism on the incidence of myocardial infarction. The overall cumulative incidence of CVD in this cohort was 1.8%. The cumulative incidence of CVD was 12.8% among the 47 men with subclinical hypothyroidism and 1.3% among men without hypothyroidism. The overall prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism in the cohort was 4.7%.

Q: Assuming causality, what proportion of CVD in men aged 55 and above with subclinical hypothyroidism can be prevented by treating all men with subclinical hypothyroidism with thyroid hormone replacement therapy? Calculate the etiologic fraction among the exposed.
