Principles of non-associative learning taught in this subject, what is/are the concept(s) used in these spin classes and why?

Using the principles of non-associative learning taught in this subject, what is/are the concept(s) used in these spin classes and why?

Spin classes are a new form of exercise for busy individuals. Spin classes are conducted indoors, involve a stationary exercise bicycle, are very fast paced, and involve a large group of participants.

To get participants to ‘sweat it out’, spin classes are typically held in a dark room, blasted with fast and loud music, and are led by a very vocal and loud instructor.

However, first timers could sometimes feel unnerved by this experience.

Also, how does the opponent process model proposed by Solomon and Corbitt fit into all this?

In your answer, be sure to compare and discuss the model for a first-time spin class participant, compared to one with extensive experience

The shop owners agreed to give Sophie a chance by not pressing charges provided her parents could ensure that her shoplifting behaviour does not happen again.

Upon inspecting Sophie’s belongings, her parents were horrified to find out that Sophie had been repeatedly shoplifting for an extensive period of time before she got caught.

Sophie was addicted to shoplifting. The parents are at a loss for how to help Sophie, as they lived on a popular shopping street. Using the principles of classical and instrumental conditioning, explain what is causing and perpetuating the problem.
