As a newly graduated nurse, you are working at a hospital in the maternity unit, and you meet Mrs. White for the first time. Mrs. White is a pregnant woman, 30 years old, and married.

She came to the hospital due to labor pains during childbirth at noon. Mr. White and his mother(grandmother soon) also arrived at the hospital together to see his son.

In the maternity unit, Mrs. White suffered pain due to the contraction.

Unfortunately, the mother’s condition got worse subsequently. After 14 hours of contraction, she was still in pain, and the ob-gyn doctor found internal bleeding inside her body after a few check-ups.

Soon, the doctor ordered the preparation of an operating room for Caesarean section (C-section). Suddenly, Mrs. White was unconscious due to severe internal bleeding.

All healthcare teams urgently moved Mrs. White to the operating room to perform a Caesarean section to save both the mother’s and the baby’s lives.

You already know about the current situation that Mrs. White may die if she has not had the surgery. Instead of the doctor, you immediately came up to Mr. White to get a consent form for the surgery on Mrs. White.

Nurse (dominantly): “Hello, Mr. White, Mrs. White needs a Caesarean section right now because she is unconscious due to internal bleeding.

It is an emergent situation, so you should follow my way. We have no time. And I need you to sign the consent form so that the doctor can perform the surgery”

Mr. White: “Surgery…?” , “what are you talking about?”

Nurse: “It’s a C-section for saving both lives”

Mr. White: “Surgery!?” , “No, absolutely not. No surgery for us because it against our beliefs” , “And you are not my boss! It’s very unpleasant! I don’t want to talk to you anymore, go away!!”

Nurse: “But”

Mr. White (interrupting in a louder voice): “Just do the natural delivery, try harder!”

The nurse was upset due to the conversation and walked away without getting the consent form. Mr. White insisted on natural delivery and remained acting with anti-communication attitudes, such as crossed arms, no eye contact, and uncomfortable facial expressions.

Identify at least 5 different solutions/techniques/strategies you can and will use to help change the world and prevent Nature Deficit Disorder.

Why is that so? What criteria are used to assess gang membership?
