Biogeochemical cycles When examining the carbon cycle we discussed how humans are adding carbon dioxide and methane, both greenhouse gases, to the atmosphere which is contributing to global climate change. As a result of global economies shutting down in 2020, it has been estimated there was a 6.5% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. However, we have essentially gone back to business as usual for 2021 and 2022. For your discussion, I want you to think about climate change.
