Central venous access device

While assessing Aliya’s site, she tells you that she had an IV put in near her neck when she first arrived at the emergency department Central venous, but that they took it out. You realize she is referring to a central venous access device. She asks you what the difference is between the IV in her neck and the one in her arm. What is your response?
