Characteristics of Klal Yisrael

What effect has this middah had on the characteristics of Klal Yisrael? Describe one way that a person can use this kindness nowadays.
In Bereishis, perek 27, Rivka tells her son Yaakov Avinu to get the bracha from Yitzchak Avinu, even though the bracha was supposed to be given to Eisav. What two contradictory mitzvos/obligations did Yaakov have to balance?  Which one of Yaakov’s primary middos was in direct opposition with what he was told to do?  What does Rashi’s commentary add? What overarching priority must a person have in order to decide properly when faced with such a dilemma?  How would you know what to do when faced with conflicting priorities?
