Chest pain

Patient is admitted to observation status by Dr. Jones (cardiologist) on June 15 with complaints of chest pain. Dr. Jones documents the following on June 15: Comprehensive history and exam and medical decision making of high complexity. Cardiac workup is negative for myocardial infarction. He is kept overnight and rolledover to inpatient status by Dr. Jones on June 16 with continued complaints of chest pain. After further workup, Dr. Jones sees the patient on June 16 and tells him he has costochondritis. Dr. Jones documents the following on June 16: Detailed history and exam and medical decision making of low complexity. The patient is discharged home by Dr. Jones on June 17.
