Competent Safety and Health Officer

OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE: The objective of this individual assignment is to enable the students to demonstrate their role as safety and health officer as stated in the OSH (SHO) Regulations 1997. REQUIREMENT: As of June 2022, it was recorded in the DOSH portal that there are total of 6,200 successful applicants have registered themselves as a Competent Safety and Health Officer (SHO) in Malaysia. You will be assigned with random task in demonstrating the role of safety and health officer as stated in the OSH (SHO) Regulations 1997 within SEVEN (7) minutes and with appropriate creativity to influence and/or promote safety and health in your chosen industry.

TASK:

OSH (SHO) Regulations 1997, Part V, Section 18(e ) – To become secretary to the safety and health committee. Conduct ONE (1) meeting demonstration to fulfil the purpose of the assignment.

Based on the above, you are required to fulfil the following:

1. Analyse the task given to you.

2. Plan the task accordingly and write a ONE (1) brief plan.
