Week 6-Managing Risk: Assessment and Countermeasures Critical Infrastructure Sectors Communications, Information Technology, etc.
Managing Risk: Assessment and Countermeasures Critical Infrastructure Sectors Communications, Information Technology, Chemical, Healthcare and Public Health, and Defense Industrial Base
As you may have noticed, each week as we discuss the different CIKR sectors, the subject of risk assessment and countermeasures is directly correlated to each one. This week we look at five sectors – communications, information technology, chemical, healthcare and public health, and defense industrial base. One sector, IT, has already been compromised in a number of recent events – from a department store, to a healthcare company to another company that protects our identity. Health care is also a concern. Many of us remember the Anthrax scare. Take a close look at these sectors and the plans that addresses them.
