The decentralization of power

Federalism is an evolving concept as practiced in the United States. Articulate a defensible claim or thesis on whether new federalism, or the decentralization of power, is still the current trend in the United States.

My topic is Roe vs. Wade being overturned and how the states now have the power to choose whether or not to ban abortion.

I’m struggling trying to write a thesis that responds to the prompt and establishes a line of reasoning. I’m supposed to reference the news event and a related part of the Constitution as evidence in a paragraph explaining the thesis, but I can’t seem to write one in the first place- at least not to the standard that my teacher is expecting.
