Developing demographic and psychographic profiles of British Columbia residents between 18 and 29 years of age. This demographic range is BCIT’s primary target population. Exploring Marketing trends within the post-secondary sector in BC, Canada, and internationally. This project will include examinations of key competitors in the BC market and how they deliver and market their programs Research Topics 1. An analysis of the post-secondary market, specifically looking at Business and Media programs. 2. A review of marketing materials and approaches taken by BCIT and competitive schools. 3. In-depth interviews with student counselors from high schools, colleges and universities and focus groups with the following key populations: a. Recent Business graduates b. Current Business students C. Students who had been accepted into, but had not started, a Business program d. Potential business students e.
