Early and late maturation in males and females
What are the advantages and disadvantages of early and late maturation in males and females?
Puberty is considered early if it starts before eight years in girls, or before nine in boys.
Puberty is considered late if there are no signs of puberty by 13 years in girls, and 14 in boys. If you’re concerned about your child and puberty, talk with your child’s GP.
