An Education support worker
An education support worker is assisting a teacher in a science class. A student ignored a direct safety requirement in the classroom and, by doing so, placed themselves and other students in a potentially dangerous situation. No one was harmed; however, the teacher asked the support worker to discuss the incident with the student to ensure that a similar situation does not occur again.
In two paragraphs, describe how the support worker can communicate positively and respectfully with the student about their inappropriate behaviour. Your response must consider verbal and non-verbal language, listening and questioning techniques and the appropriate use of volume and tone.
