The foundations for the Social Contract Theory

In what way does Socrates lay the foundations for the Social Contract Theory?  Pick ONE of the Modern Social Contract Theorists and ONE of the more recent Social Contract Theorists. Compare and contrast their theories of the social contract. In what ways do their ideas overlap and differ? Social contract theory, nearly as old as philosophy itself, is the view that persons’ moral and/or political obligations are dependent upon a contract or agreement among them to form the society in which they live.
