Describe the reasons for each of the three guiding beliefs of Bravery, Autonomy, and Secrecy according to the author.    The concept of themes in culture is related to the “dynamic affirmations” maintained by its members. Themes help to shape the quality and structure of the group’s social interaction. (Opler 1945  pg. 9292) According to our authors, the Police Subculture’s dominant themes are social isolation and solidarity.
