Human population

The increasing human population on the planet is stretching our ability to produce sufficient food to support the world’s population. You will use your knowledge of plant tissue systems as well as plant growth and development to design the perfect crop plant.  Explain what features this plant might possess and be sure to support your design with scientific evidence.  You can use your imagination as long as you base your imaginings on sound scientific principles. What role if any could GMO’s play into the perfect crop? Are there any specific advantages or disadvantages to using GMO crops?
