A hypothetical organization

You are required to work upon any of the market’s active companies or build the scenario on a hypothetical organization. Keeping in mind different important elements of organizational behaviour, you are expected to bring in light all individual, group level and structural elements that impact behaviour in an organization and reflect how that knowledge translates in improving organizational effectiveness.

  • To be able to do it, you need to bring in light your understanding of organizational behaviour that helps bring out the type of roles a manager performs in an organization and the skill that leads toward managerial success. One of the members is going to work upon the suggested area that is discussed in chapter 1.
  • Going further, you need to work upon the individual’s impact upon behaviour and a member would discuss the relationship between attitude and behaviour leading further towards suitable attitude and behaviours for the organization.
  • The third portion of the work is based upon the discussion of understanding the impact of personality. The member working upon it would suggest the career paths for the other members based upon the personality traits (after identifying it through the MBTI scale) dominant in them.
  • The fourth member would study the impact of structure upon behaviour and identify and reflect upon the prospective influence of different structures upon your organization.
  • Finally, the last individual member would study leadership and highlight its importance in achieving organizational effectiveness. In pursuit of this desired goal, the member will study and discuss different leadership styles to reflect upon the one suitable for your organization.
