The 19th century was a long period of peace marked by massive internal change within Europe that shaped today’s world.  From that period, explain how industrialization happened, the social problems and social theories that industrialization produced, and the rising tide of nationalism and how it shaped nations like Germany and Italy.  Conclude by arguing which of the three had the smallest impact on the modern world.
