Discuss the relationship of interdisciplinarity and technology. Give two or three specific examples . What types of interdisciplinary projects, problems, or issues lend themselves to technology solutions?  What barriers exist that may impede progress in these projects? Some colleges and universities are now creating programs and majors in Science, Technology, and Society (STS). Discuss the value of these STS programs. Develop a sample profile and list specific characteristics of a student educated in STS.
