A. Was there language exchanged during the lesson?

B. Identify the students occupying the different positions in the Zone of Proximal Development and describe how you determined their positions in the zone.

The different positions are:

  • Student already knows concept or skill (Left side in the Zone of Proximal Development).
  • Student learned new concept or skill during lesson (Within the Zone in the Zone of Proximal Development).
  • Student did not learn due to deficit knowledge/skills. Requires adaptation of instructional materials (Right side in the Zone of Proximal Development).
