Relationship between management and postal workers
Canada Post Corporation is a crowned entity- owned and operated by the federal government of Canada. The Canada post workers are represented by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW. The case is about the collective agreement between Canada Post Corporation and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, Urban Postal Operations, which expired on January 31, 2018. For a long time, Union could not reach a new agreement, the union began a series of rotating strikes across the country on October 22, 2018. These strikes resulted in Christmas parcel deliveries being delayed by 5-6 months in some cases, worsening of relationship between management and postal workers.
