Growing number of social scientists
A growing number of social scientists are challenging the dominant view that U.S. society has a class system of stratification, arguing instead that our system is closer to a caste system, based on racial differences. Do YOU think that the U.S. is a country in which anyone can achieve anything they want, regardless of race, or are our positions in society determined at birth (at least for the most part)? Are we gradually moving closer to or further away from a racial caste system?
