Piracy to thrive in a democracy or authoritarian state
Would you expect piracy to thrive in a democracy or authoritarian state? Why? I do not expect piracy to thrive in a democratic or authoritarian state because people can have their way into helping combat that issue by teaming up with each other. 3.4. Can you envision a scenario where developers and consumers of IP develop a relationship that eliminates the profitability of piracy? Yes, when equal sides agree on a common goal, such as piracy, they can eliminate its increase by letting each side find a common ground to solve the issue. 3.5. Put yourself in the place of a poor individual in a poor country struggling to improve the quality of your life. What thoughts might shape how you interpret the legality of IPRs? If I were a poor individual, I can use the legality of IPR to help change my situation by allowing myself to become someone that can create and trademark a thing that can possible sell through consumers from other countries. 3.6 Can MNES stop piracy without government help? Why would they prefer greater government assistance? Why would they opposite it? 3.7. Do you think consumers in wealthier countries versus those in poorer countries justify piracy with similar rationalizations? Why? I believe so mainly because in wealthier countries, there is more power.
