Post-traumatic Stress Disorder is becoming a major problem within our society

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder is becoming a major problem within our society due to the exposure to trauma that many face.

Events such as combat, natural disasters, hostage taking, terrorism and the more recently shootings in schools, movie theaters and navy bases all place people at-risk for PTSD.

More recently, we have faced a pandemic that is causing destruction, loss and fear for many people and is especially traumatic for front line workers.

As a psychologist how would you approach intervention with individuals who have and are experiencing traumatic events?
