Principles of sport psychology

One of the most commonly referenced Sport Psychology principles by consultants is the impact of energy and anxiety on performance. The discussion for this week has you describing a model and considering the limitations of its description of the relationship. In your reflection paper, I would like you to take one of your performances (sport, work, hobby) and explain how the model informs your preparation and execution of the task(s). A performance is really anything that can be measured (quantified), compared to standards, and has consequences for doing well or not well. In your explanation, describe what is ideal for energy/anxiety and how you know that this level has been achieved or missed. Finally, are there any strategies or mental skills that you have used to help you build, maintain or regain the right energy activation levels in your performance.
