- Record the activities starting from FIVE AM TO five AM A total OF TWENTY FOUR HOURS the next day for the entire week.
- Colour code the different activities you do – use the same colour code on your time pie chart
- Include all activities:
- School/classes
- Homework/studying
- Travelling
- Working (paid or volunteer)
- Cooking & eating
- Cleaning (dishes, laundry, vacuuming, organizing, etc.)
- Grooming (washing, brushing teeth, makeup, hair, etc.)
- Social (face to face/in person)
- Electronics (TV, Internet, phone, social media)
- Exercise & physical activity
- Sleeping
Time Pie Chart
- Add all the number of for each category and make pit chart
- A visual representation of different activities you do in a week (24 hrs/day x 7 = 168 hrs.)
- Use colour to differentiate the activities you participate in

- Journal component – Answer the following questions:
- How do you feel about the time allocated for the ten activities? (for example, did you spend too much time on some activities rather than others? Where you surprised?)
- What changes are you going to implement to allow you more time to do the activities you want to or need to do?
- What activities are “time zappers” (time wasters)? How are you going to change this?
