Possibility of purchasing computers via the internet

IT solution computer manufacturer offers the possibility of purchasing computers via the internet. Customers can select computers on the manufacturer’s online webstore. The computers are classified into servers, desktops and laptops. Customer can select a standard configuration or build a desired configuration online. The configurable components (such as memory) are presented as drop-down lists (pick-lists) of available options. For each build configuration, the price will be calculated automatically. To place their orders, customers must fill in the shipment and payment information. Acceptable payment methods are either credit or debits cards. Once the order has been entered, the web administrator will send confirmation e-mail messages to customers with order details. The system allows for customer to check the order status at any time. In addition, the web administrator is responsible to manage the purchasing processes, which include verifying customers’ credentials and payment methods, requesting the ordered configuration from the warehouse, printing the invoices and requesting the warehouse to ship the computers to the customer.
