Purpose of the language tools project
The purpose of the language tools project is to help you apply to a Scripture passage the Bible study skills Summarize in twenty-five hundred word language tools project based on one (1) of the following passages: Romans 5:1-5; 2 Timothy 4:1-5; or James 1:13-17. Copy your passage from your Bible software into a Microsoft Word document and complete the following steps in the writing of the project:
Choose one of the three passages and provide the full text.
Phrase your passage.
Select two (2) words from your passage and perform word studies for both that include the word, the verse reference, the Strong’s number, the transliteration, the semantic range, and the contextual meaning in this passage.
Draw your interpretive conclusions about each of the two-word studies.
Choose three (3) advanced, more technical commentaries from your Bible software program or local theological library. Check your passage in these commentaries and add final insights you may not have discovered through your word study.
Construct a sermon/teaching outline from your word study and phrasing.
