Describe the purposes of a special education assessment and the primary purposes of the process. What is a multi-disciplinary team?  Who are its members?

4.  Describe the four key elements that schools must follow to ensure than an assessment meets the IDEA’s substantive requirements.

 

5.  Describe what is meant by reevaluation, its purpose, and how often it must occur.

 

6.  What is an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) and why might this be requested?

 

7.  How might a medical diagnosis be used in a comprehensive evaluation?  Can a medical diagnosis be used as the primary basis for eligibility?  Why or why not?
