Quantify healthcare processes

Describe this relationship and note how the role of the APN might change the effectivity of measures. The role of APRNs can affect the quality measures of the profession and care provided if it did not meet the standards. Quality measures are tools that help us to measure or quantify healthcare processes, outcomes, patient perception, and organizational structure and/or that relate to one or many quality goals for health care (CMS, n.d). One of the determinants of the APRN’s roles is to accomplished the LACE as recommended by the APRN Consensus Model for safe delivery of care and to protect the consumers from any mistakes or errors (Joel, 2018, p. 20). The APRN’s profession will not be effective in providing care if one had not proven the skills and education, and the quality measure such as certification or licensure is to establish one’s ability to assume responsibility while it will enhance and improve the gap that is missing for safe delivery of care. It will change if one cannot assume the role of APRN due to a lack of competence and confidence because of failure to meet the quality measure.
