Determining the Scope which classes are required
Develop an argument regarding whether the federal government or state governments should have the greatest authority in determining the scope which classes are required and content (what is taught in each class) of high school education. For instance, some states require that high school students take a government class but other states do not. Some states follow common core curriculum but other states do not. This prompt asks you to argue your policy preferences rather than explain current law.
Support your claim with at least TWO pieces of accurate and relevant information:
- At least ONE piece of evidence must be from one of the following foundational documents:
- Hobbes’ The Leviathan
- Federalist No. 10
- The Constitution
- Use a second piece of evidence from another foundational document from the list or from your study of the United States founding area.
