Socioeconomic constituencies

Some people argue that there are really no significant differences between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party in American politics. Would you agree or disagree with this observation? Carefully examine the positions of the two parties on at least two important issues. How do their policy positions differ? In what ways are they similar? Do the two parties advocate significantly different political ideologies? Describe and critically examine their respective political ideologies. Do the two parties represent separate socioeconomic constituencies? Are there ideological divisions within each party? If so, what are they? Do the politicians who belong to these two parties generally follow their party’s programme?
