CHCCDE012 – Work within organisation and government structures to enable community development outcomes
As part of the City of Joondalup Community Development Plan 2015-2020, a new Youth Program Division will be created. The focus of the Program is to support the objectives of the Development, focusing on activities and projects for the Youth in the community.
As part of setting up this new Division, consider the following:
- Why is it important to understand an organisation’s management structure, philosophy and purpose, governance structures, policies and procedures which are supportive of community development work?
- List 5 barriers which can prevent stakeholder participation in community development planning and recommend strategies to overcome these barriers.
