Independent Samples t Test

Hello, I have a question. Does gender4a go in the test variables or grouping variables?

The relationship between gender and the personality variable we created (average score)

Run two independent samples t-tests to examine mean differences between groups: 1) The relationship between gender and the personality variable we created (average score); and 2)

One research question you devised from our survey data from Assignment #4. This analysis will compare your independent variable or “grouping variable” (e.g., gender, marital status) or treatment condition in an experiment (e.g., treatment group/control group)

when the dependent variable was measured on a quantitative (interval or ratio) scale with meaningful numeric values (e.g., happiness, gpa, stress, etc.).

Make sure your independent variable is qualitative and dependent or outcome variable is quantitative.

Do not ask questions in which no relationship is expected. You must have at least one significant t test.
