The history of China

The history of China is a rich and long one.  Perhaps the single greatest glue that has held Chinese society together is Confucianism with its 5 Relationships:  ruler-subject, husband-wife, old-young, parent-child, and friend-friend.  Select at least two of these and explore their merits and flaws within the context of early Chinese society.  Additionally, in a concluding paragraph think about American society today and consider what is the glue that holds our country together?  If you can’t identify anything what does that tell you about America’s future?
