Explain the importance of problem-solving in regard to community-oriented policing. In your response, be certain to describe your understanding of the four-step SARA process. Many of the community partnerships for crime prevention reviewed in our text are at least 10 to 20 years old.

Summarize one of the programs evaluated as being successful in the past. Write why you think that same strategy would (or would not) be successful today. Explain what might need to be done to alter the program to make it successful in the future.
