What do victims most want from the Justice system?

What do victims most want from the Justice system? Is the vertical system designed to give the victim what they want? How does this system fail the victim and why? Does Restorative Justice ignore or otherwise discriminate against the offender? What are the dangers of Restorative Justice in terms of depriving an offender of due process?
