The Revolution against England

The colonists who participated in the Revolution against England pointed to oppressive legislation as the cause. Write an essay in which you analyze all major pieces of legislation by assessing the stipulations/terms of each law, the purpose of the act and the colonial response. What were the British hoping to accomplish in general with the passing of the acts? What were the Americans in general hoping to accomplish with their protest? Which act do you feel was most decisive (marked the point of no further compromise)? Explain your answer.
