All U.S. federal judges

Currently, all U.S. federal judges are appointed for life.  Currently all Texas judges are elected to 4-6 year terms with no term limits (although Texas judges do have mandatory retirement after age 74).

If you could, how would you change the selection method of judges in either or both of the systems?  Which method do you prefer and why?

Do you think judges should be appointed for life?  Do you think term limits are a good idea?  Why or why not to all of the above questions?
