Excerpts from the Sobeys UNIFOR Collective Agreement

Refer to the document entitled “Excerpts from the Sobeys UNIFOR Collective Agreement Expires February 28, 2022” and to the table entitled “HRM845 Collective Bargaining & Negotiation Assignment – Article and Section Allocation” wherein you have been assigned a specific passage of the Agreement. Imagine that you are acting as a management representative for bargaining the next agreement. Referring to your specifically assigned passage of the agreement, you are to select one or two sentences of your assigned portion and propose a change that benefits your party. Indicate the original language then indicate the language WITH YOUR CHANGES. For the new version, provide the excerpt using CAPITAL LETTERS to indicate which part is changing from the original language (You may change all or some of the provision). Follow up with a short description of what you think that change means and how it will help the company (and possibly the employees) in the future. Indicate what you expect the perspective of the union to be on your proposed change. Explain your logic.
