Autism specific screening

A 16-month-old child is not yet talking or using many gestures to communicate at home. You have concerns but have not shared these with the family yet. A few weeks later an autism specific screening is completed during a visit with the pediatrician and indicates concerns for ASD. What early identification resources and/or tools could have supported you in proactively gathering more information with the family? You are the primary service provider (PSP) working with a child suspected of autism and their family. You have expertise in a specific evidence- based intervention while other professionals working with the family suggest other interventions. How will you collaborate with the family to select an intervention?
